Office 2025
Latex Office Chair Skins examine the relationship between material memory, labor, and the spaces where bodies work and endure. Cured directly onto the surface of office chairs, the latex retains every imprint—creases, tensions, worn points—revealing traces of presence normally absorbed and forgotten by functional furniture.
By lifting these impressions away from their original structure, the latex becomes a ghost of the chair’s use: a skin that remembers what the object was designed to conceal. These forms expose the pressures placed on bodies within systems of productivity, while questioning how objects participate in shaping behavior, posture, and identity. The resulting sculptures hover between protection and vulnerability, function and dysfunction, presence and absence
